Dear Family,

This is not good news. Dad had a cyst behind his left ear. The biopsy came in today. It is malignant, cancerous. It could be 2-3 weeks before the final report tells us what kind of cancer it is. I asked the nurse if it could be the kind that will kill him. She said yes, it could be that kind. The minimum treatment would be surgery to remove what they can. I don't know what other options might be available except chemo and radiation. Dad is too frail for chemo. Having bee through that myself, I know it would be too much for him.

Please put Dad on any prayer lists you know about. I sent it to my prayer chain. My prayer is that it is non-invasive or that the end would come quickly with no suffering.

The next 2-3 weeks will be difficult for us all. We can't do anything except wait and pray.

I know a lot of you will want to talk to Dad. He is most alert and talkative late morning and early afternoon. Roughly 10-11:30 AM. Then 1-3 PM. His meals on wheels comes around 11:30 but sometimes as late as 12:30.

As soon as we know anything else, I will send out another email.

blessings in Christ,
SherryLynne
