Please pray for me as I attempt to win back the affections of my ex-wife. I was married for 15 years and granted my wife a divorce at her request. We maintained a fairly close friendship during our time apart and have recently decided to reconcile.

My problem is, I know she had a boyfriend, but when I told her that I never stopped loving her she accepted me and said that she knew she didn’t have a future with him. Over the past weekend she told me that she is now engaged to this man.

I know that she is confused and may have been caught up in the moment, but my attempts to talk with her had started to push her away. Rather than lose her altogether I’ve decided to tread lightly and give her a little time.

We have adult children (19 & 17) and all I want is for us to be a family again. I have put my faith in God and humbly ask for your help as I pray for the chance to fulfill the marriage vows that I made on our wedding day.
